All Stars

My largest painting yet at 16" by 20" in acrylic with lots of detail.  My favorite part of this work
was adding in my Chuck Taylor's.  Still not completely happy with this one been working on it for a long while and starting to running out of steam.

Corner House Perspective

Planing for a more detailed drawing/painting that follows but interesting none the less.

A mix media of a house that's on my running wrought.  I've always been intrigued by it seemingly abandoned nature.  Seems more recently someone has taken it under new care and life is being breathed back into it.  All the same It's a rough and tumble little house and you just have to glance at it to see that it's got history that is screaming from it's every pore.

Let's go Flying

A shot looking up at an hot air balloonThis one took for ever to finish, but totally worth the effort, image got squished but might like it better.

Some days I wish I could take a different perspective on how things are going.  Just float above all the craziness and mess and see what lies on the horizon, where everything looks so peaceful.

Ready to Go

I really love this, was trying to get use to shading and reaching back to my high school art classes.  Must have drawn and painted hundreds of  folded/piled cloth projects for Ms. Jones.  This original is on an old piece of typing paper but was fun trying to get the puppy to look wrapped up within the scarf.

Forgotten

Don't really fully understand but for whatever reason I am on this bear kick.  But  we're just going to run with it for now, plus he's too cute to be forgotten about.   Also a smaller painting acrylic on 8" by 10" canvas board.  When being scanned or process afterward lost some of the width of the work and apologies for that.

Yellow Roses

Yellow roses painted onto a black background.  Painted with acrylic paint on  8" by 10" canvas board.  This has got to be one of my favorite paintings in a long while.

Outside of A Cafe

An interesting perspective in ink pen, with a splash of green acrylic paint.

Beginning Panting

Sorry about the slight delay was having some technical difficulties, here is my teddy bears portrait.  Original work is an acrylic on canvas board standing at an impressive 8" by 10".  I picked her as my first subject due to her amazing texture and field of depth.  I had a lot of fun, and got a chance to play with a touch of color.

New Beginning

I am super excited about my blog I've been looking for some sort of outlet for my creative juices and talent to filter into.  I've started painting again after taking a break while studying at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  I was able to continue my drawing and sketching in design school. All the while developing my skills and voice.  Though I lost my choice in subject matter and depth of project.  My first subject in my continuing study is my teddy bear.

Please leave feed back on what works and doesn't, honest critic will help strengthen my development.  Painting should follow, this posting.
